A growing number of condos are built on the beach front along this coastline. Rosarito Beach is a short, easy drive from San Diego, California. It is just 15 miles from the US-Mexico border via the scenic Tijuana-Ensenada highway (toll road).

Rosarito Beach caters to tourism and you can find many fine restaurants, bars and entertainment. There are plenty of shopping opportunities. Favorite pastimes include several excellent golf courses, horseback riding, tennis, bike riding, fishing and, of course, beach and swimming activities. Wine country attractions and the site of the filming of Titanic, a short distance beyond the town, offers interesting side trips.

Puerto Nuevo (New Port), famous for its seafood, is five miles south of Rosarito. This fishing village specializes in the lobster feast enjoyed in more than 30 restaurants.
